Standing high above the horseshoe bend of the River Wye, the Royal enjoys some of the best views of the surrounding countryside and is situated near the town centre. A welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, comfortable rooms and unique relaxed style of hospitality make it a favourite with locals. All 42 en suite bedrooms are well equipped. There are two spectacular dining areas – Barretts Restaurant for a more formal dining experience or the more relaxed Riverside Bar and Terrace.

The Royal is a two-storey Grade II listed building with no lift. Although there are two double rooms on the ground floor, these are not suitable for wheelchair access or people with severe walking difficulties. Please state at the time of booking if you require a lower floor room.
