Wiltshire’s newest hotel, golf and spa resort, opening in May 2009, enjoys a wonderful location on the sprawling Bowood estate, home to the Lansdowne family since 1754. Spread over three floors, the hotel features an English country house flavour which draws upon Bowood’s impressive heritage. Traditional elements are, however, translated in a contemporary manner. The 43 en suite bedrooms, including six luxury suites, include plasma screen televisions

and Wi-Fi. The Shelburne Restaurant seats up to 82 and there is an inviting bar and two lounges (the Library and Morning Room) both with wood burning fires.

The spa has a 15-metre swimming pool, gym, rock sauna, crystal steam room and aromatherapy showers. Beauty and health treatments are available to guests in their own rooms. The hotel adjoins an 18-hole championship golf course and driving range.
