The 2008 Ryder Cup Packages

Two fantastic package trips have been created to enable you to savour all the colour, drama and excitement of The 37th Ryder Cup at Valhalla.

Ryder Cup Travel Services is pleased to announce both 5-Day and 9-Day itineraries designed with the golf enthusiast and traveller in mind. All you have to do is decide the option that suits you best and please remember there is flexibility with whatever you choose.

The only stipulation is that there is a minimum five-night stay requirement from Wednesday, September 17th to Monday September 22nd, ensuring you are there from start to finish for one of the greatest occasions in world sport. For the 5 Day Itinerary, we will be more than happy to provide quotes on additional nights stay and “add on” holiday options should they be required.

Our other special option is the 9-Day Itinerary which includes a three-night stay at the luxurious French Lick Resort Casino, staying at one of two magnificent hotels - either French Lick Springs Hotel or West Baden Springs Hotel which are part of the same stunning complex.

Accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis and as part of the package you will receive three days of golf on two different courses, inclusive of green fees, shared golf buggy, range balls prior to the round and necessary ground transportation.

This pre-Ryder Cup package will get you in the mood for the big event and it is important to bear in mind you will have the choice of either remaining at the French Lick Resort Casino during the competition itself or transferring to one of the other selected Ryder Cup Travel Services Hotels for the remaining five nights’ accommodation, again on a bed and breakfast basis.

It should also be noted that the French Lick Resort Casino is of course an option for clients who wish only to reserve a place on the 5 Day itinerary.

The Ryder Cup 9 Day Itinerary

Guests will be spoiled for choice by the two hotels in this vast complex. Both provide a perfect location and backdrop for the fun and excitement that unfolds on the Valhalla fairways in Ryder Cup 2008.

For generations this beautiful retreat has offered a scenic environment in which to relax and enjoy nature. Guests can stroll in shaded walkways and visit the famous gazebo housing the Pluto mineral springs, nestled amid lush gardens of colourful flowers and carefully trimmed greenery. The ideal setting to enjoy quiet solitude if desired.

The RCTS package includes three days of golf, including green fees, on two courses. The original course, designed by world-renowned golf architect Donald Ross and venue for the 1924 PGA Championship, has been newly-restored at a cost of almost five million dollars. Coming in 2008 in time for The Ryder Cup, a new 18-hole championship golf course designed by Pete Dye will offer breathtaking vistas of the rolling hills of Southern Indiana.

NINE DAY PACKAGE PRICES
To be part of the French Lick experience the supplement cost to your Ryder Cup Package is £470 at the four star French Lick Springs Hotel and £550 at the five star West Baden Springs Hotel per person. Non golfers can choose to substitute the golf element of the package with a spa and health club option. All French Lick packages accommodation is based on deluxe twin or double rooms. Transfers to and from Louisville Airport and French Lick are included and the transfer time is just over the hour. No flight costs are included in any packages.
